We are immensely pleased and honored to host ICEC 2010, world class International Conference on Entertainment Computing held in COEX, Seoul Korea on Sept. 8-11, 2010.
As entertainment contents industry that plays the vital role of fostering new industry and leads the world's creative economy has emerged as the high value-added growth engine, the use of intangible assets such as creativity, emotions, imagination and human perception becomes inevitable and critical.
The evolution of the core technologies, which are closely related to entertainment content development, provides new opportunities for the growth of contents industry. However, along with this technological development, it is essential that we create contents based on artistic sensitivity and creativity in order to make it globally competitive. By exploring the amalgamation of art, science, and cutting-edge science and technologies, we can dream up innovative and authentic entertainment contents.
In this Conference, we invite distinguished global leaders from academia and industry working in game, animation, media arts, VR/MR and entertainment fields to share their state-of-the-art knowledge on planning, production, and utilization of creative and innovative cultural contents. Through invaluable presentations. lectures and discussions during ICEC2010, we would like to explore future directions and visions for creation of new industries as well as a paradigm of the new entertainment computing in 21C.
